Rooibos

Rooibos comes from a shrub grown in the Cederberg region of South Africa, where the needles are cut, bruised and left to oxidise until they turn deep red. That process has long been prized for producing a smooth, low-tannin cup that never turns bitter, however long it is left to steep. This organic rooibos takes milk as readily as a black tea does. The needles are cut fine for the bag, which speeds up a slow leaf, and the tagless 100 pack is the one that ends up in the tin on the bench.
