In loose leaf form the pieces are cut larger, so the ginger releases its heat slowly and the citrus stays above it for longer. Lemongrass and lemon myrtle carry that citrus, both long favoured for a lemon character that keeps its sweetness in hot water, with ginger warming everything from underneath. It makes a full pot without losing its lift. The blend is free of caffeine, which makes it as easy at ten at night as at ten in the morning, and the canister holds enough for a good many pots.
