Our Royal Devonshire pairs it with a rich black base, generously scented, so the vanilla arrives on the aroma and settles into the finish. It was built for the kind of afternoon tea that involves a plate. The vanilla is blended through the leaf rather than sprayed across it, so the cream note holds under milk instead of disappearing into it, and the refill pouch keeps the canister going.
