Your tea ritual just got a little more colourful.

Tea pets are small companions that sit beside your tea as you brew. Rooted in Chinese tea culture, they’re traditionally “fed” with a little tea poured over them during a session. It’s a simple ritual that brings character to the tea table and gives you another reason to slow down and enjoy the moment.

In Chinese culture, the dragon represents strength, power and good fortune. Ours brings a playful twist to that tradition: pour hot water over it and watch its colour change. As it cools, it returns to its original shade, ready for the next pour.

Pair it with your favourite Leaf Lab Cha Gao, give it a name, and make feeding your dragon part of your daily tea ritual. A little companion for your own tea table, or a gift for someone who likes their tea with a side of personality.

To feed your dragon, sit it on a tea tray or shallow heatproof dish and slowly pour hot water (over 60°C) over it. Watch the colour change, then let it cool before its next feed. A gentle rinse with clean water and a chance to dry between sessions will keep it ready for the next round. Go easy on the surface and avoid scrubbing.
